Yuki Yoza has officially been announced as the challenger for the ONE Bantamweight Kickboxing World Title. He will face reigning champion Jonathan Haggerty at “ONE SAMURAI.1”, taking place on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at Ariake Arena in Tokyo (streamed live on U-NEXT).
The bout is scheduled for five rounds of three minutes each, with Haggerty (UK / Knowlesy Academy / Team Underground) defending his title against Yoza (team VASILEUS).

■Jonathan Haggerty
Haggerty began training in Muay Thai at the age of seven and started competing as an amateur at 12. In April 2016, he captured the ISKA Muay Thai Super Featherweight World Title, followed by the WBC Muay Thai International Super Featherweight World Title in May 2018.
He joined ONE Championship in January 2019 and, in just his second appearance in May, defeated Sam-A to become the ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Champion. Although he later lost the title to Rodtang, Haggerty rebounded in April 2023 with a knockout victory over Nong-O to claim the ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Title. In November of the same year, he knocked out Fabricio Andrade to win the ONE Bantamweight Kickboxing World Title, becoming a two-sport world champion.
In September 2024, he lost the Muay Thai belt via a 49-second KO to Superlek. However, in February 2025, he successfully defended his Kickboxing World Title by defeating Wei Rui. Haggerty holds a professional record of 24 wins (16 KOs) and 5 losses. After stepping away to recover from injuries, this fight marks his return after approximately one year and two months.

■Yuki Yoza
Yoza is a former karate standout who won the lightweight division at the 6th Kyokushin All World Weight Category Karate Championships in 2017. He transitioned to kickboxing in March 2019 and began his professional career with seven consecutive wins (3 KOs). His first professional loss came in February 2020 against Chihiro Suzuki.
In December 2021, he made his Krush debut with a spectacular knockout victory. In February 2022, he made an immediate impact in K-1 by defeating then-lightweight champion Yasuhiro Asahi in an upset win after extra rounds. He defeated Asahi again in their March 2023 rematch to capture the 6th K-1 WORLD GP Lightweight Title.
In March 2024, Yoza faced RISE Lightweight Champion Hiroshi Nakamura and won via injury decision. In July, he dominated Gonnapar Weerasakreck, scoring three knockdowns in the first round. In September, he knocked out former ONE Flyweight Kickboxing World Champion Petchdam Petchyindee Academy at 1:15 of Round 3.
In May 2025, Yoza made his ONE Championship debut at “ONE Friday Fights 109,” earning a dominant victory over Elbrus Osmanov. He followed up with victories over former champion Petchtanong in July and Superlek in November, extending his winning streak to three in ONE. His professional record stands at 22 wins (9 KOs) and 2 losses.
April 29 marks a historic opportunity for Yoza to challenge for the world title on Japanese soil at the inaugural ONE SAMURAI event.
All eyes will be on Ariake Arena as Yoza aims to capture the ONE Bantamweight Kickboxing World Championship.
